Never Give Up

One day a happy-go-lucky millionaire, the next day, a stroke - such is life.
Living in America has taught me to never give up.  Thanks to that attitude, and America's Medicare system, I have recovered quite well from my devastating brain hemorrhage about three years ago.  Medicare paid for the best of medical attention and therapy.  Every American doctor I've visited has been polite, considerate, and proficient.  The American economic system based on our forefathers' free enterprise structure backed up by Constitutional Law surely allows anyone -- regardless of race, creed, religion, age, or gender -- with a good idea and the energy and determination to pursue it to prosper.  I might add that the American way is worth fighting for.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
In answer to these pusillanimous peace-niks, I quote one of our forefathers:  John Stewart Mill.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.  The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better [persons] than himself."

Carl Marcus wondering where to put the new bronze dedication plaque on the new building.
A heart-felt thanks to all of my friends, clients, and vendors who stood behind me during my disabling stroke and allowed me the prosperity that I enjoy today.  I know that I am going to forget some names.  If you notice your name missing and you deserve to be on it, drop me a line and I'll get it added.  Eventually, when I feel this list is complete, I plan on having it turned into a bronze plaque and put on my building at the dedication.
